My WHY (February 2016)

After losing my Mom and Grandma to cancer, my new WHY and why I share Plexus is to share health and help others get healthy. I'm not a life coach, or nutritionist, but I can say that my own health journey has involved reading multiple articles/blogs and watching videos/series by various doctors, nurses, nutritionists and the like from around the world. I'm a special education teacher by trade, and as a result, I am a life long learner by nature. My own health journey started around the time my Mom received her second cancer diagnosis. As a result, I have learned that overall health does not have just one simple answer. Proper sleep, gut health, nutrition, physical activity, managing stressors, taking vitamins, water intake, and many other factors all contribute to a balanced overall healthy body.

Yes, I share Plexus products because they are two things: natural (seems to me that not much is natural anymore) and two, provide essential vitamins and minerals that our bodies need. However, I know without a doubt that overall health is not just popping a pill. In fact, overall health is a bit of work. A new mindset and commitment are absolutely essential to obtaining optimal health. Your body has had various input from your lifestyle that will take more than a day, a month, maybe even more than 3 months to get to a healthier overall balanced state.

Two women in my life have gone before me, but it drives me to help myself and others be more aware of what our daily habits are and what changes can be made to them. My new WHY for WHY I share Plexus is driven by my Mom and Grandma. I fully and whole-heartedly believe that Plexus products are an essential piece to the puzzle of overall health. This was all ME, personally, BEFORE Plexus.
For SEVERAL years, I've struggled on and off with depression, A.D.D, bad health issues, etc. This time last year.. My health was seriously declining. It took everything I had just to get out of bed and go to work so I could provide for my kids. Day in and day out... I was fake smiles and putting on a brave face for everyone around me.. But on the inside, I was miserable. My stomach always hurt.. I was constantly nauseated and throwing up. I started loosing weight because I could barely eat from feeling sick. I had DAILY headaches, body aches and ALWAYS felt tired. On my off days from work, I would just fall apart and not even be able to get out of bed. I started failing my kids.. Bc I couldn't get the energy or feel well enough to play with them or get ready and take them places. If it wasn't for my fiancé nick and my family pushing me to get out of bed and get myself together.. I wouldn't be here now. My mom introduced me to plexus in December of 2014. One day after work, I stopped by her house and looked like I could just fall over in the driveway and not move, because I felt so rough. She gave me three plexus pink drinks for three days worth. Now, when I first heard about plexus and my mom wouldn't shut up about it 24/7... My first thought was "yea right.. Nothing can help me." Truthfully... I was the biggest skeptic. Here I am today with plexus and my life has literally done a 180. I feel so good.. I no longer throw up or have the horrible and intense body pains. I can eat three full meals a day and not get sick or nauseated. I only get dull head aches (which are due to screaming kids lol). I have had so much fun with my kids and going and exploring new places and adventures with them! Brody no longer looks at me with sadness and says "mommy, why are you always sick?" Or "mommy why can't we go somewhere fun anymore?". My kids got their mommy back and I now hear their giggles and laughter from having fun again. My anxiety levels have drastically decreased and my panic attacks are completely gone!! My skin color (which used to be constantly purple due to raynaulds) is now a normal radiant color. My face, constantly breaking out before... SO clear and pimple free! I can wake up in the mornings and not suffer from the intense pain all over my body.. and ive only had one episode of an ovarian cyst in 7 months!!! that right there, is HUGE for me.. considering I used to get them at LEAST once a month.
Plexus has not only changed my life, but helped me get healthy again and wake up every day with a smile on my face that isn't forced or fake.
Plexus doesn't claim to cure any of our problems... but I can honestly say, Plexus saved my life. and not only that... but is has NOW given me the financial freedom to be a work from home mom and enjoy life!!

Blood Sugar

The big question you are probably asking yourself is why. Why do I need to worry about balancing my blood sugars? Why does it really matter? I feel okay as it is and I am definitely NOT a diabteic, so why do I need to worry about making sure my blood sugars are level? Why? Why? WHY?

Well, let's look at your diet, whether you are watching what you eat or not. Do you eat processed foods, foods/drinks that include artificial sweeteners or highly refined sugar foods? Just because you're drinking a Diet Coke does NOT mean you're in the clear. Of course it's not gonna make you drop dead right there, but it will eventually wear down your body and may end up causing you medical strife and possibly death down the road. We as a people need to understand that a balanced blood sugar level isn't a concern for just diabteics anymore. It is a concern for all of us because who really wants to possibly acquire blood sugar-related diseases, metabolic syndrome, diabetes and heart disease? No one. So who wouldn't want to try and minimize that chance.

Eating foods and consuming drinks that release glucose quickly will result in fatigue, hunger, irritation, and cause the blood sugar to spike. As a result, it's important to acknowledge that some things we can't do alone and need help. Plexus has designed a product that will do just that. It will help. My blessing! Kiptin is one very special boy as any child is to there parents but Kiptin to us is a little miracle that we didn't think could happen. My husband and I married in 2007, we were going to fallow what others suggested (wait two years and have you time first) after two WEEKS we knew that wasn't what we wanted! We wanted to have a few children and soon for we both have a passion for family and children....well infertility stood in the way of our plan of starting a family. I was diagnosed as unknown infertility with possible low count on my husband, finally 3 years later they figured out I had PCOS. We tried countless dollars of medical treatments for about 5.5 years, none resulted in a pregnancy. IVF was our last resort. I wasn't ready to give up! I knew if I got my body healthy maybe just maybe a miracle could happen. I was eating healthy and working out but no weight loss my labs came back a bit better but no where near great. Then I found plexus. Plexus has given so much to my life in so many ways. I'm so thankful I found it while scrolling face book one day!!! I started with the slim and accelerator, then added the probio5 and biocleanse. Once xfactor was released I started that as well! Each month I felt better and better! I got doctors approval to continue probio5 and xfactor with biocleanse when needed through out my pregnancy (slim too but only took if I had a head ache during pregnancy) On July 9th 2014 I delivered a healthy baby boy names Kiptin Thomas Skwira at 4:07 pm 7lbs11oz 21.5 inches at 40 weeks 5 days! I was on plexus for one month shy of a year before my body was healthy enough to create a pregnancy. I'm not saying plexus got me pregnant but I know it helped my body level out which in return got me my miracle baby! Don't give up on your dreams! Mine took me 7 years of unknown infertility, pcos, failed medical fertility treatments, an about to be adoptive parents of newborn triplet girls but the mom changed her mind last minute and kept them...yes a lot of pain in 7 long years but he's so worth every bit of it!!!! Also don't give up on plexus. Everyone is different. Some it works in the first few days and some it takes months as I said I didn't get my FULL results for 11months (of my personal weigh goal once I started loosing) and I still had a 4lbs to go to get to my weight goal but my life goal aka pregnancy beat me to it smile emoticon Plexus has blessed me in so many ways, health, life and financially. Now my new goal.....loose this baby weight and get healthy for pregnancy.
Words of advise from me: So if it's taking longer than you were hoping to get to your goal remember this... don't give up! Give it time! I'm glad I didn't give up or I'm pretty sure I wouldn't have my little blessing! Good things take time:)
